STEP x STEP for October

This is one of my favourites – I love how it turned out.  Hope you enjoy it too!

Materials

  • My Little Shoebox Imagine A Forest patterned papers and die cut circle
  • Collections – chipboard fence, bird, branches and mini brackets
  • AC thickers – raw
  • Kaiser rhinestones – light pink
  • Bazzill cardstock – bark
  • Ric Rac
  • 3 D dots
  • Walnut ink (or glimmer mist)
  • white gel pen
  • black zig pen
  • MM Paints – Spotlight and Honeydew

Step One – Cut a 10cm piece of “Get The Camera” paper (leaving the squirrels on the back intact) and stick to back of “Happy Trees”.  Add a free-hand cut bracket shape cut from bazzill Bark cardstock and draw white stitches around the edge.  Place the die-cut circle as shown and trim off the extra.

Step Two – Place your photos and mini brackets as shown but don’t stick down yet.

Step Three – place any chipboard letters you like on the paper lightly so not to stick down.  Move the die-cut circle to some newspaper, remove photos and mini brackets then spray with walnut spray (or glimmer mist), then carefully remove lettering, leaving a silhouette title.

Step Three – trace around the edged of the silhouetted letters (doesn’t have to be perfect) then adhere to main page and attach photos.

Step Four – using some of the bark cardstock, trace a circle with the white gel pen, then using a lid as a rough guide, draw a semi-circle shape wround the circle as shown.

Step Five  – Cut the shape out roughly leaving a brown edge and place somewhere under the photos until you are happy with the look.

Step Six – Add ric rac and scalloped strip cut from “Get The Camera” paper.  Adhere journal circl with 3d Dots.  Add journaling, cut out trees (adhere using 3D Dots), white painted fence post and squirrels cut from “Furry Friends” paper.

Step Seven – Add painted tree branches and leaves (hand draw leaf pattern). Add painted mini brackets and rhinestones as shown and you are all finished!

Quickie holiday layouts

Well we got a couple of quiet days on the fruit picking/packing side so I made the most of it, mostly trying to reduce the huge pile of holiday photos on my table.

Just a quickie using Crate Paper COTTAGE embellishments.

Tallebudgera

Trying to use up multiple photos in these ones & a real simple quickie for the last one.

I used the Doodlebug  journalling pad that I bought while on hoildays and just used it like a diary then added it to my pages with the appropriate photos…easy!
