Sometimes my pages just don’t turn out the way I think they might? I have hits & misses. This one below was a hit – in fact I think its one of my all time favourites and it didn’t even take very long to make. It uses up my left-overs of Basic Grey chipboard & the new Pink Paislee alpha stickers, both available from Annas.
And this one was a hit too – it could have been better but I’m reasonably happy with it…. (and don’t you luurve those Daisy Bucket rub-ons)
A miss…. think I just wanted to use that Imaginisce Paper but it ended up being to overwhelming for the busy photo and page???? I don’t know, I’m just not all that thrilled with it.
The next one I think is also a hit although it should be a double page because I have a photo of the whole tree (better get onto that….). I really wanted to commemorate our little girls’ first christmas.
and finally, this one…which I’m not sure about. It’s OK, but I’m not sure if I like the photos or not? Still, its a page I wanted to do just for the memory which is what’s most important.
Hmmm, on another note…think its time I put my layouts into albums???? They are starting to bend.
Wow, I haven’t posted here for nearly 4 weeks. Christmas was soooo busy – there was just no time. Finally I pulled out some stuff yesterday and got busy because I needed somewhere to put all those christmas & holiday photos…
I used some really old papers from Dream Street but they are very pretty.
Also I wanted to thank my Secret Santa from the Scrapbooking Top 50. I don’t know who you are but it was such a thougthful and generous gift with all the little extras in the pack. I have never done a Secret Santa before so wasn’t sure what to expect (or what to send for that matter) but here’s what I got. (and yes, the postman folded the envelope in half & ruined a sticker and some chipboard! grrrr).
And I have already used some of the chipboard on the Photo box above.
Daddy was so busy this year trying to finish our outdoor renovations for christmas – it was down to the wire, there was no time for him to take the girls christmas shopping, so I took them to the local scrapbook shop and they choose 3 things each (in secret, of course) with the shop assistants help (they are only 6 and 8 years old) and bought me these gorgeous little goodies for christmas. It was wonderful to open them on christmas day and get a surprise.
I hope you all had a wonderful & safe christmas too.
Yesterday, another scrapper and I were discussing the fact that with scrapping, anything goes. There’s no such thing as too much journalling, or a bad style – which makes it more fun. The sky’s the limit! So here’s my ‘no rules’ page.
I just kept adding stuff till I was happy. I could add more but I lost my nerve (lol)
Besides, its time I started using some of those embellishments overloading my cupboard.
The funny side of this page – this is my 10 month old about to show me what she thinks of my layout.
Makes me think that we don’t laugh enough – take ourselves too seriously, hence my new ‘Friday funnies’
Here’s the first ones:
How many of you believe in telekinesis? Raise my hand.
My husband says, ‘it’s that scrapbooking stuff or me’?…. (I’m gonna miss that man).
Some of you who have visited before were kind enough to fill out the quick survey in the sidebar. Well….here’s the results so far and it seems many of us are looking for the same things in a blog.
1. Top 3 things we all love blogs to have are great layouts, inspiration & DT calls.
2. We DON’T LIKE too much journalling or paragraphs on private/family life.
3. We visit our favourite blogs about once a week or more.
4. A particular blog becomes our favourite because the have great layouts and is frequently updated.
Sorry guys, I put a post in about ANNA’s DT featuring in SM next year but I had the date all wrong – it won’t be January, as stated. It’ll probaby be an issue (or 2, or 3 or 4) later than that.
I joined a speed scrap last week just for the experience. It was quite funny in the end because I had mess everywhere and felt like I needed a strong drink – something more than the usual glass of late-night milk anyway. Here’s what I finished up with (below) and then I did another one (underneath) but without the word ‘CUTE’ for obvious reasons (ha ha).
Used MLS Little lady papers from my DT kit for this one (don’t you just love the little chipboard bird house?) and Pina Colada papers for the one below.
And these ones I used the Fancy Pants LITTLE DANCER papers that were in my kit this month. Anna sends me so much wonderful stuff these days, all of it so beautiful, but I can barely keep up sometimes (LOL). This series was a real challenge.
