Woohoo – 100 ideas!

I did it. I have completed my own challenge of using 100 different ideas on virtually layout I have done. Some of them I loved, some of them were a bit lame (lol) and a couple of them were even my own, like the ‘frosting’. I loved making my own flowers and can’t wait to try more. Anyway… here is the last ideas of the challenge – idea 100! (Dah daah)

Idea 100: Use the Martha Stewart punched lace as a stensil to stamp a flower vine.

This LO uses the Kaiser ‘Hey birdie’ pps and rub-ons. And I couldn’t stop there, here’s another idea.

Idea 101: I made these little paper rolls to look like treasure maps.

Oh, and before I forget, there’s a COMPETITION over at What-About-Me to win a little pack of goodies for a Mothers Day layout. Honestly, we just don’t scrap ourselves enough.  I was shocked to discover that out of more than 800 pages I have now scrapped, only 19 of them were about me.  I want my kids to know me when they are older so I’d better got more challenges done.

I’m a flower girl

Yep, just can’t stop using them, whether they are paper, ribbon, fabric, lace, whatever…just love them although I do want to try doing some soft-looking pages with other products besides flowers.

Idea 85: Ink the lace.

Idea 86: Use the pearls like fairy dust or sprinkles.

One from the Websters Pages Lullaby range using Prima & kaiser flowers.

Idea 87: Decorate the felt lace with pearls.

Psst!….Have you heard? Prima are on the hunt for a new DT!  Just imagine how many talented scrappers are going to apply! Its going to be tough to get in……

What about me?

POST EDIT: I’m on the new Design Team! YAY!

That’s the name of the new blog Its an inspirational/challenge blog for scrappers who find it hard to scrap about themselves.  Its big launch is on April 3rd.  Here’s the  layout I have made for the first  challenge and the owner is also looking for 2 more DT members – its not too late to try out….

Idea 66: Handstitching in a zigzag pattern on the top & bottom border

Idea 67: Use glimmermist and spattering together to make a soft background.

Idea 68: Make some of the title letters 3D and some flat, overlaying each other.

I also got a few layouts done from my Annas Craft Cupboard DT kit. This fisrt one uses Sassafrass Lass Cherry Delicious.

Idea 69: Use the Maya Road ruffle trim for the flower centres by rolling it up and gluing it.

Idea 70: Paint a section of the background white for journalling on.

This next one I did a while ago for a feature on Annas Craft Cupboard of the new MME kits – this one was called ‘Beautiful’.

Idea 71: Cut out all the little detail pieces and make a flower arrangement from them.

Idea 72: Cut the photo into a slender and rounded shape – slimline.

I also had enough left to make these 2 cards.

Idea 73: make a box flower.

Exciting news…

I had an email in my box this morning saying my layout (below) had been chosen for the Banner, as well as it getting lots of attention from all around the world on the Websters pages blog. Now I’m in with a chance to win a big box full of Websters goodies! Thankyou all for your heart-warming comments.  This is only my 2nd layout with Websters pages and I am totally and completely hooked.

Idea 57: Pinch & stitch the flower petal in the centres to make them stand up and give more dimension.

Idea 58: Cut double of the butterflies and bend up the wings to make the 3 dimensional.

And here’s one I did for Anna’s Craft Cupboard with LUCY BIRD papers from the DT kit. The challenge here was to make such bright papers, softer and not as intense using sanding and white-washing.

Idea 59: White out the centre of the journal tag with paint, then add journalling.

Idea 60: Put the title directly on the photo.

Sketch competitions for September

Here’s a tiny sneak peak of a layout I’ve done for Anna’s craft cupboard using the new MME Abbey Road HOW FORTUNATE kit.  I’m so happy with the way it turned out too. Stay tuned to Anna’s blog…. (she doing a showcase on Abbey Road!)

Annas Craft cupboard has a new sketch designer in Wendy Smith and here’s her first one:

Also here’s the new pieces from Puzzle sketches (it’s a really good one too):

Oh and by the way, anyone needing 2010 calendar printable template (including small size) to make Calendar Christmas presents this year (which i spent ages looking for online), I’ll save you a heap of time.  They are here.

Layouts and NEW, NEW ,NEW!

I found this website called Puzzle Sketches which I just love. Its a great concept where you make your own sketch but you have to include certain elements determined beforehand. Its great fun and something different from the usual.

Here’s my August entry:
