POST EDIT: I’m on the new Design Team! YAY!
That’s the name of the new blog www.whataboutme2010.blogspot.com/. Its an inspirational/challenge blog for scrappers who find it hard to scrap about themselves. Its big launch is on April 3rd. Here’s the layout I have made for the first challenge and the owner is also looking for 2 more DT members – its not too late to try out….
Idea 66: Handstitching in a zigzag pattern on the top & bottom border
Idea 67: Use glimmermist and spattering together to make a soft background.
Idea 68: Make some of the title letters 3D and some flat, overlaying each other.
I also got a few layouts done from my Annas Craft Cupboard DT kit. This fisrt one uses Sassafrass Lass Cherry Delicious.
Idea 69: Use the Maya Road ruffle trim for the flower centres by rolling it up and gluing it.
Idea 70: Paint a section of the background white for journalling on.
This next one I did a while ago for a feature on Annas Craft Cupboard of the new MME kits – this one was called ‘Beautiful’.
Idea 71: Cut out all the little detail pieces and make a flower arrangement from them.
Idea 72: Cut the photo into a slender and rounded shape – slimline.
I also had enough left to make these 2 cards.
Idea 73: make a box flower.
Been busy finishing off my pages from this months DT pack. Always love what Anna sends me. Did this for my Mums birthday – she always wants more lettering & embellishments.
This shows what is on the chipboard buttons.
This was made from this Imaginisce Collection called SWEET CHERI.
I also got these in my DT kit.
MME Life Stories Collection 1
Did this one by covering the photos with a piece of paper then spraying with Vanilla Breeze & Denim Glimmer mist.
Love how this one turned out with the raw tree.
Love this one too – gave the bird a wintery look by tracing it in white gel pen – great for christmas.
And I found that matting the photo in cream or white really gives the dull paper a lift.
Yep, I know, its November (but I asked Anna for the month off because of the busy fruit season) so I used it to catch up on last months kit goodies.
Again these layouts used Crate Paper COTTAGE & BLISS, Kaiser Lilac Avenue and MME Ohh la la.
This is one of my favourites and I had a lot of fun embellishing it.
and this is the photo I ordered on this years Christmas cards.
SO there’s not as much time for scrapping but this is what I’ve managed this month so far…
Well Anna’s got me really busy this month (which of course I love), except this month I’m a little slower than usual because its THAT time of year again… Yes, our 1400 peach & nectarine trees all need picking and packing to get to market. (I’d rather be scrapping!)
Here’s the DT pack she sent me – its chock-a-block full of stunners…
Crate Paper BLISS (and some of the COTTAGE chipboard & stickers).
MME Abbey Road/OOH LA LA
and Kaiser/LILAC AVENUE.
OK, so I tried setting myself a goal of completing 10 layouts in 2 days, the emphasis being on TRIED. Well… 7 is OK, isn’t it? Trying to use up some Anna’s Craft Cupboard papers, lettering & scraps. The next DT pack is waiting at the post office and the photos are piling up (ahhhh!) Anyway, here’s 6 of the 7 I got done.
Love how this one turned out. Thankyou to my fellow DT member Wendy Smith for the inspiration on this one from the ‘Tractor pull’ layout. It uses the MME round & round paper.
This one has Scenic Routse beach rub-ons from Annas but the papers is Rouge de Garance.
This one is from the DT pack using Imagine A Forest papers.
We had a lovely holiday but now its time to get busy scrapping again. I did get some christmas cards that will feature on Annas craft cupboard blog very soon, meanwhile here’s a couple I did before we went away.
I love this photo….. it was a great opportunity to say something special to my little girl. It uses BG Paper & Scenic Route SONOMA accents. Thanks to Wendy Smith (from Annas DT) for the sketch.
Anna is has challenged us to make christmas gifts this year so stay tuned to the BLOG.
This was the MME Abbey Road kit Anna sent me with the challenge of using the kit in its entirity on one layout. I’m really happy with it and it was a great challenge.
