I’ve gone paint and flower crazy!

Aren’t these fabulous! I made them from scraps of fabric (organza, satin and Dupion silk) and they were not very hard at all.

You could make them too. The video of how to do it is here from Heidi Swapp live TV.

This next one is a Websters Pages layout,  just perfect for these photos. Its got some of the new Collections chipboard on it too which is availablle from Annas Craft Cupboard or Maxines Melange.

Idea 105: Dab your plain white or cream flowers with ink pads to give them a lift and co-ordinate another colour on your page.

But this next one I went CRAZY with my white paint. This layout is using the Pink Paislee ‘About a girl range’. The reason I used SO much white paint (and sanding) on this one because I just don’t like the overwhelming bright pages much anymore, so I softened it up heaps.

Idea 106: Use the plastic stretchy bag that oranges come in to paint over.

Idea 107: Make a painted border using Crafters workshop template. Trace around some of the pattern with a black archival pen.

Idea 108: Stamp the paper branches with white paint to soften them and take away some of the brightness.

Idea 109: Before you remove the chipboard letters from the sheet, paint over them roughly, let the paint dry completely, then run your black archival pen around the edges of the letters to give a black outline.

And one more from the Bella Blvd ‘Estate sale’ range.

This one I just had to scrap because they were so pleased with their effort of making their room beautiful again and cleaning up their shelves without even being asked.  Besides, it was a rare opportunity to actually get a photo of it all cleaned up.

Now I’m off to make some more flowers – can’t help myself, Its fun!

What! No flowers?

LOL, yep, I actually managed to complete a layout with no flowers. I know, not like me at all but Kathy Link left a comment about how easy it is to rely on flowers (which I do cos I totally love them) but I decided to challenge myself.

Idea 101: Make little circle features from the Prima Crystals/flower centres and pearls.

This layout was also the colours for last weeks Palette at The Colour Room.

Also been using my DT kit from Annas last week and came up with these. Bright colours are not really me anymore but I still managed something romantic-looking from the Fancy Pants ‘About a Girl’ range.

And this one is from the Bella Blvd ‘Estate Sale’ range.

Idea 102: Stitch a wavey border around the page and around the badge shape of patterned paper.

Idea 103: Make flowers from the Maya Road pink loopy trim.

Idea 104: Ink the cardstock lace made from the Martha Stewart punch.

And here’s a little sneak peak of my step x step project for this month over at Annas Craft Cupboard.

This layout is using the new ‘Hey Birdie; range from Kaiser.

Woohoo – 100 ideas!

I did it. I have completed my own challenge of using 100 different ideas on virtually layout I have done. Some of them I loved, some of them were a bit lame (lol) and a couple of them were even my own, like the ‘frosting’. I loved making my own flowers and can’t wait to try more. Anyway… here is the last ideas of the challenge – idea 100! (Dah daah)

Idea 100: Use the Martha Stewart punched lace as a stensil to stamp a flower vine.

This LO uses the Kaiser ‘Hey birdie’ pps and rub-ons. And I couldn’t stop there, here’s another idea.

Idea 101: I made these little paper rolls to look like treasure maps.

Oh, and before I forget, there’s a COMPETITION over at What-About-Me to win a little pack of goodies for a Mothers Day layout. Honestly, we just don’t scrap ourselves enough.  I was shocked to discover that out of more than 800 pages I have now scrapped, only 19 of them were about me.  I want my kids to know me when they are older so I’d better got more challenges done.

Just a few more

My next DT pack has arrived so I have managed to get the first one done as it matched the colours of The Colour Room Palette #5.

As you can see I bought myself a Mothers Day present – a new Martha Stewart lace punch.

Idea 97: Stamp script onto a bird shape and give it a little pearl heart.

Here’s a couple of others I managed to squeeze in before my next DT pack arrived.

Idea 98: stamp a flourish like a branch then add flowers.

These are both Kaiser – Utopia and Devonshire papers.

Idea 99: Cut each segment of a flower out and make it 3D.
